Outpatient Group Counseling

Connection, Learning, and Support

Group counseling provides a space to share experiences, build coping skills, and learn from others who understand what recovery is like. At Recovery Works Northwest, we offer two levels of group support: Outpatient Counseling Groups and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP).

Outpatient Counseling Groups

  • Designed for individuals who need regular support while maintaining daily responsibilities like work, school, or family.

  • Groups focus on recovery skills, relapse prevention, stress management, and building healthier relationships.

  • Typically meet once or twice per week.

  • Best suited for people who are stable in their recovery and want continued guidance and community.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

  • A higher level of care with multiple group sessions each week plus individual counseling.

  • Offers more structure and accountability while still allowing flexibility to live at home and continue daily activities.

  • Focuses on recovery foundations, relapse prevention, managing cravings, and developing healthy routines.

  • Often recommended for individuals who need more support than standard outpatient groups can provide.
