Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)

Medication can be a powerful support in recovery. Our providers are experienced in using evidence-based treatments that reduce cravings, lower overdose risk, and help people build stability.

We specialize in:

  • Sublocade® — a once-monthly buprenorphine injection available at all Recovery Works outpatient clinics. Especially effective for people recovering from fentanyl use, Sublocade® eliminates the need for daily dosing or pharmacy visits.

  • Vivitrol® — a monthly injectable form of naltrexone that helps reduce cravings and prevent relapse for alcohol and opioid use.

  • Brixadi® — a newer buprenorphine option available in weekly or monthly injections, offering flexibility and strong support in recovery.

Other medications we provide include:

  • Suboxone® (buprenorphine/naloxone)

  • Subutex® (buprenorphine)

  • Oral naltrexone

  • And other FDA-approved medications tailored to your recovery needs

These medications are covered by Oregon Health Plan (OHP) and most commercial insurance plans, making them accessible to more people who need them.

Medication works best when it’s combined with other services such as counseling, group therapy, and peer support. Together, these approaches address both the physical and emotional aspects of recovery, giving you the strongest foundation for success.
