Medically Monitored Withdrawal Management (Detox)

The Journey Begins Here

Taking the first step toward recovery is hard — but you don’t have to do it alone. Stopping alcohol, fentanyl, or other substances on your own can feel overwhelming and even unsafe.

That’s why we created the Recovery Works NW Foster Road Medically Monitored Withdrawal Facility (Inpatient detoxification)— a safe, supportive place where you can begin your recovery with medical care and compassion.

What You Can Expect

When you come to our withdrawal facility, you’ll:

  • Stay an average of 3–5 days in a safe, welcoming environment

  • Receive 24/7 care from doctors and nurses who are there for you at all times

  • Be provided with medications to ease withdrawal symptoms and keep you comfortable

  • Have three meals a day plus snacks so you can focus on healing, not hunger

  • Know you are in a space that is completely free of drugs and alcohol

Cost and Insurance

If you are covered by the Oregon Health Plan (OHP), your care is fully covered. At this time, we cannot accept private/commercial insurance — but if that’s your coverage, we’ll help connect you to another facility in the area.

Substances We Help With

We provide withdrawal management for:

  • Opioids such as fentanyl, oxycodone, heroin, hydrocodone (Vicodin)

  • Alcohol

  • Stimulants such as methamphetamine and cocaine

  • Combination use of these substances

(If you are seeking help only for stimulant use, please know we may prioritize patients who are withdrawing from opioids or alcohol.)

When We May Need to Refer You

For your safety, some situations are better treated at other facilities. If you are pregnant, need daily injectable medications, have untreated severe mental illness, cannot manage daily self-care, or are dependent on very high doses of benzodiazepines or methadone, we will help connect you to the right place for care.

After Your Stay

Withdrawal is just the first step. Before you leave, we’ll make sure you have a plan for ongoing treatment and support. Many patients continue with our outpatient services, where you can access:

  • Counseling and therapy to address the emotional side of recovery

  • Peer support from people who’ve been there

  • Recovery medications such as Suboxone®, Sublocade®, Brixadi®, and Vivitrol®

We’ll connect you directly to these services so you can keep moving forward without losing momentum.
